Liguria is a small producing area in the north west area of Italy. It is particularly suited to Olive Oil production since centuries. Liguria is a marvellous and very hard environment based on hills and mountains closed to the sea. The ancient olive trees cultivations offer to the Ligurian Producers a hard job to give to us some of the best and finest EVOOs in the world.
There is a new young producer’s generation that is applying the most modern technics for growing olive trees and for producing the best olive oils. Thy aspire to obtain EVOOs with high-quality standards and they have a modern point of view for the EVOO quality. These yang generations are demonstrating that cultivars from Liguria can offer amazing Extra Virgin Olive Oils if treated in early crop it’s possible to produce modern proled extra virgin olive oils. We have to remember the Taggiasca tree is derived by the Frantoio Cultivar that, in the middle part of Italy gives, produce great EVOOs with medium /intense grade of fruity.
